🗺 Location & Routes
Positions are based out of our Fort Worth yard serving active construction corridors across the DFW metro. Expect runs primarily within a 60-mile radius including Arlington, Denton, and parts of southern Dallas. Work centers on highway expansion zones, commercial redevelopment sites, suburban developments, and municipal contracts. Traffic around I-35W, Loop 820, and Highway 183 is a daily factor, especially during morning landfill queues.
📦 Yard Flow Behavior
Drivers start at the local yard where empties are staged per morning dispatch. Container assignments come in waves based on contractor calls. Some mornings you pull 2-3 ready loads right away, other days you wait while loaders finish at sites. Peak spring through fall means higher volume and more frequent landfill transfers. Winter slows noticeably with fewer residential and commercial projects.
🚛 Fleet Setup You’ll Be Running
- Mack Granite, Freightliner M2, and Peterbilt roll-off units
- Average fleet age 5–12 years, maintained for daily service
- Hook-lift and cable systems depending on assignment
- High-usage 10–40 yard containers with typical wear from job sites
- Regional shop support in Fort Worth, occasional delays during busy season
📋 Shift Flow From the Operations Desk
Typical day starts between 5-7 AM to catch site activity and landfill hours. Expect 6–10 container moves per shift — hook, haul, drop, repeat. Routes change based on contractor readiness. You’ll handle construction debris like concrete, drywall, lumber, and roofing scrap. Some days are mostly local site-to-landfill cycles, others include longer transfers. Weather, especially rain, affects site access and increases wait times on uneven ground.

⚙️ Jobsite Delivery Flow
Positioning trucks on active construction sites requires care with soft or uneven ground. You often wait for excavators or loaders to finish filling before pulling out. Overfilled containers are common during peak periods. Landfill queues can run 30–90 minutes in the morning rush. Efficiency comes from quick hook-lift work and adapting to last-minute site changes from contractors.
🏠 Daily Return Reality
Home every evening, though return times vary. Efficient local days may end by mid-afternoon. Days with multiple landfill runs or site delays often run 10–11 hours. Occasional Saturday work during heavy construction periods. No overnights. Schedule follows construction demand — busiest in spring and summer.
