📋 Job Description
- Haul temperature-controlled grocery freight including fresh produce, dairy items, frozen foods, and packaged grocery shipments throughout California and neighboring western markets
- Maintain proper reefer temperature settings, complete pre-trip inspections, monitor product integrity, and communicate delays caused by weather, traffic, or receiver scheduling
- Transport refrigerated food products from packing facilities, cold storage warehouses, and regional grocery distribution centers
- Verify bills of lading, inspect seals when required, and report temperature deviations immediately while managing reefer units
- Operate primarily within California with regular regional lanes into Nevada and occasional deliveries into southern Oregon or western Arizona
- Follow safety expectations including proper cargo securement, hours-of-service compliance, and careful temperature management
