📋 Job Description
- Operate as an OTR Dry Van driver based in the busy Fort Worth freight market hauling primarily no-touch freight including packaged consumer goods, palletized food products, industrial supplies, paper products, and general manufacturing freight.
- Handle long-haul operations with varying trip lengths across the Midwest, Southeast, Southwest, and East Coast while maintaining full compliance with Federal Hours-of-Service regulations and ELD usage.
- Manage changing appointment times, occasional detention at distribution centers, and communicate regularly with dispatch regarding route adjustments, weather impacts, and freight availability.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, secure and inspect dry van freight, and safely operate company tractors pulling 53-foot dry van trailers.
- Navigate major freight corridors including I-35W, I-20, I-30, I-40, I-44, I-70, I-55, and I-75 while adapting to weather-related delays and DFW area congestion.
- Complete required paperwork, maintain professional communication with shipping personnel and receivers, and follow all safety protocols.
