📋 Job Description
- Haul temperature-controlled refrigerated freight including packaged grocery, dairy, frozen foods, refrigerated beverages, and fresh produce throughout Texas and neighboring states
- Maintain proper reefer unit setpoint and monitor trailer temperatures before departure, during transit, and upon arrival to protect cold chain integrity
- Operate on scheduled appointment windows with distribution centers, cold storage facilities, food processors, and regional warehouses
- Complete accurate trip documentation, record seal information, verify bills of lading, and perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
- Communicate consistently with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, and arrival times while maintaining ELD compliance and Hours of Service regulations
- Manage occasional live loading/unloading and varying dock wait times while following food safety and cargo handling procedures
