📋 Job Description
- Operate out of the southwest Fort Worth terminal near I-820 and I-35W pulling pre-loaded 53' dry van trailers from major retail distribution centers serving big-box retailers and regional chains.
- Perform 8–12 delivery stops per day on average within the DFW metro area including Dallas, Arlington, Denton, Plano, and Irving, with occasional runs up to 150–200 miles.
- Handle a mix of drop-and-hook at larger locations and live unloads at stores using pallet jacks when needed for palletized retail freight.
- Complete thorough pre-trip inspections, load securement checks, accurate paperwork and tablet scanning, while maintaining HOS compliance via ELD.
- Communicate with dispatch and customers during dock appointments and manage occasional detention or traffic delays on I-35, I-30, and I-820.
- Work rotating Saturdays with most days ending in early evening and a 34-hour reset at home weekly.
