📋 Job Description

  • Operate 53’ reefers on 2–4 day loops hauling temperature-sensitive food freight between Twin Cities cold storage and Chicago/Milwaukee/Des Moines distribution centers.
  • Complete 1–3 deliveries per shift while performing mandatory reefer temperature checks and ELD compliance updates.
  • Execute drop-and-hook operations at major hubs and live unloads at smaller facilities across MN–WI–IA–IL lanes.
  • Coordinate with centralized dispatch for backhaul optimization to minimize empty miles on return legs.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections, seal verification, and landing gear checks on 2–5 year old Kenworth T680 and Freightliner Cascadia units.
  • Average 2,000–2,800 miles weekly during normal freight cycles with seasonal peaks in dairy and holiday periods.
