📋 Job Description

  • Execute 400–650 mile daily segments on multi-week OTR refrigerated runs while maintaining strict temperature compliance via Samsara telematics.
  • Perform drop-and-hook operations at major reload hubs including Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Denver and Los Angeles distribution centers.
  • Complete pre-trip inspections, reefer unit checks, and ELD logging for each leg while coordinating with dispatch on load sequencing.
  • Navigate live unloads at food processing facilities and drop-and-hook deliveries to regional retail warehouses.
  • Monitor and document temperature-controlled freight integrity throughout transit to meet food safety standards.
  • Manage 34-hour resets and HOS compliance during extended cycles covering 2,500–3,500 miles weekly.

Requirements

CDL Class A

Valid CDL-A license required

Experience

1–2 years OTR experience preferred; reefer experience strongly preferred

Age

Minimum 21 years old

MVR

Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years

Physical

Able to secure loads, perform coupling/uncoupling, and climb in/out of sleeper cabs
