Job Description
- Operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck safely on local city routes
- Perform pickup and delivery of freight to retail stores, commercial locations, and distribution points
- Scan and track shipments to maintain accurate delivery logs and ELD records
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, traffic, or delivery issues
- Ensure freight is handled carefully and delivered in excellent condition
Requirements
CDL Class A
Valid CDL-A license with current DOT medical card
Experience
Prior city or local delivery experience preferred but not required
Age Requirement
21+ years old
MVR & Risk
Clean driving record with no major violations
Physical Ability
Capable of handling freight and performing inspections
Communication
Strong verbal and written skills; professional attitude
