📋 Job Description

  • Secure and tarp flatbed loads of lumber and structural steel at supply yards using chains and straps before 8–12 daily deliveries.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections on Peterbilt 579 day cabs and coordinate dock assignments at commercial construction sites.
  • Navigate Northeast Florida jobsites completing 150–300 miles per shift while verifying load seals and landing gear status.
  • Execute drop-and-hook operations and ELD updates between building material distributors and active project locations.
  • Communicate with project managers and receiving crews for safe unloading coordination during daylight hours.
  • Manage yard congestion and staging lane positioning at supply facilities near I-10 and I-295 corridors.

CDL Class A

Valid CDL-A license required

Experience

1+ year tractor-trailer experience required; flatbed and securement experience preferred
