● Terminal Location: Joliet Freight Hub, Joliet, IL
We're hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for local LTL pickup and delivery work out of our Joliet Freight Hub. You'll handle scheduled freight runs serving the southwest Chicago corridor — Joliet, Romeoville, Bolingbrook, Plainfield, Shorewood, Lockport, and nearby industrial areas.
This is straight local work with day cab tractors and pup trailers. Most days involve multiple dock stops moving palletized manufacturing parts, industrial supplies, packaged goods, and general LTL freight. Drivers are home every night after completing their route.
This is a local position with home daily resets. Drivers typically start early morning from the Joliet terminal and complete their deliveries before returning in the afternoon or early evening.
Your shift starts with a pre-trip inspection on your assigned day cab tractor. You'll pick up your manifest, hook to your first trailer or pups, and head out on local runs. Most mornings include a mix of pickups and deliveries at warehouses, manufacturing plants, and distribution centers around the Joliet area.
Expect multiple stops per day involving backing into docks, checking freight, handling paperwork, and coordinating with receivers. Traffic on I-55 and local roads can be heavy, especially during morning and afternoon rushes. You return to the terminal at the end of the shift to drop equipment and complete logs.
We are hiring drivers who live within a reasonable commute to the Joliet Freight Hub. Priority given to drivers familiar with southwest Chicago traffic patterns and local delivery work.
We handle routine maintenance at our Joliet facility to keep equipment on the road. Drivers report issues immediately and we work to minimize downtime on local routes.
This local position offers home daily service. Drivers return to the Joliet area at the end of each shift. Weekend work is limited but may be available during busy periods.
