Your shift begins at the Idaho Falls terminal with a pre-trip inspection on your assigned day cab tractor. Dispatch provides the morning delivery manifest after overnight linehaul arrivals. You organize your stops, verify BOLs, and head out for outbound deliveries.
Most mornings focus on deliveries to construction suppliers, farm dealers, medical facilities, and retail locations. Afternoons shift to pickups from wholesalers and manufacturers. You handle dock check-ins, live unloads where needed (using provided pallet jacks and liftgates), and secure freight for return to the terminal. Communication with dispatch happens throughout the day via onboard systems and mobile devices.
Drivers return to the terminal by early evening for post-trip inspection, paperwork submission, and trailer drop. The operation keeps you moving locally with manageable traffic on I-15 and US-20 corridors.
