How often are washouts required?
Washouts are mandatory between incompatible loads and performed at approved facilities in the Denver, Cheyenne, and North Platte areas. Reimbursements are provided.
What are the typical shift start times?
Drivers usually start between 4:00 AM and 7:00 AM to align with plant loading schedules.
Will I have a dedicated truck and trailer?
Drivers are assigned modern equipment from a young fleet, with dedicated stainless steel tankers based on commodity requirements.
How is detention handled on this operation?
Detention pay begins after 60 minutes. Dispatch works with facilities to minimize delays.
What weather and terrain challenges exist?
Routes include mountainous sections of I-25 and I-80. Drivers must manage load stability, high winds, and variable Rocky Mountain weather.
🧭 Dispatch Notes
- Loads are coordinated with plant receiving hours to ensure pump availability
- Backhauls often include empty tanker repositioning or clean trailer moves between terminals
- Real-time sensors track temperature, pressure, and flow for compliance
- System update: GPS routing accounts for tanker weight and height restrictions
- Load priority focuses on food-grade and time-sensitive industrial liquids
⚠️ Operational Risk Layer
- Weather exposure zones: High winds and winter conditions common in Wyoming and northern Colorado passes
- Traffic congestion risk: Moderate – primarily industrial corridor and Front Range highways
- Load delay probability: Facility receiving tank availability and seasonal production surges
- Equipment sensitivity: Strict temperature and compatibility protocols for food-grade liquids
- Compliance checkpoints: Regular DOT inspections along I-25 and I-80 corridors
