Each week starts with dispatch sending load information the night before or early morning. Drivers begin at local San Diego facilities or customer yards with a full pre-trip that includes detailed reefer system verification and fuel level confirmation.
The core of the week involves 3–5 deliveries. Drivers arrive at appointment windows, perform temperature checks, supervise unloading, and complete required paperwork. Once released, they often head toward Inland Empire reload points for the next assignment while staying in close contact with dispatch.
Later in the shift or week, attention turns to securing parking before HOS limits and preparing equipment for the following day. Backhauls from distribution areas help maximize efficiency. Traffic or warehouse delays are managed through proactive dispatcher coordination.
