❓ Frequently Asked Questions
How much time do drivers spend on securement?
Securement is a core part of the job. Expect thorough pre-trip inspections, chaining, strapping, and tarping on every load. Training is available for drivers with solid flatbed foundations.
Are loads pre-tarped or do drivers handle tarping?
Drivers are responsible for proper tarping and securement. Tarps are provided and tarp pay is issued per load.
What happens during high wind or rain on flatbed runs?
Drivers must assess conditions before tarping. Additional time for safe securement is expected and weather-related delays may qualify for layover or detention pay.
Will I have a dedicated truck?
Yes, drivers are assigned late-model tractors with APU and sleeper comforts for regional work.
How are construction site deliveries handled?
Site coordination with supervisors is required. Unloading is usually done by on-site equipment while drivers manage paperwork and securement release through the ELD app.
Do routes include Houston or Midland often?
Yes, depending on project demand. Runs regularly reach San Antonio, Houston terminals, and the Midland–Odessa region.
