📋 Job Description

  • Transport temperature-controlled grocery freight across Midwest distribution hubs using I-75, I-94, and I-80 corridors
  • Maintain strict reefer temperature compliance for frozen and fresh food shipments during transit
  • Execute live unloads at major grocery DCs in Chicago, Columbus, and Indianapolis metro zones
  • Perform drop & hook operations at cold storage facilities across Michigan and Ohio
  • Complete accurate BOL documentation, POD confirmation, and temperature log reporting
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding traffic delays, warehouse congestion, and route adjustments

Requirements

CDL Class A

Valid CDL-A license required

Experience

1+ year CDL-A driving experience preferred

Age

Minimum 21 years old

MVR

Clean driving record, no major violations

Physical

Light freight handling, dock interaction, trailer inspections
