Route information arrives the previous afternoon or early morning via company systems. Drivers begin with a thorough pre-trip inspection, trailer hookup, and review of appointment details before heading to one of the regional healthcare warehouses in the Cleveland, Independence, Solon, or Twinsburg area for pickup.
The core of the shift consists of 2–5 deliveries mixing live loads and unloads at hospitals and medical centers. Drivers check in at receiving, confirm documentation, monitor dock operations, and secure signatures before proceeding. Freight volume and sequence can shift during the day based on urgent customer replenishment needs.
After the final delivery, drivers return equipment to the designated terminal or yard, complete post-trip requirements, and turn in paperwork. Dispatch typically shares the next day’s plan before the end of the shift when planning allows.
