Dispatch sends first assignment details the previous afternoon or early morning. Drivers start between 5:00–7:00 AM with pre-trip inspection at the assigned yard or parking location before heading to the first manufacturing or supplier facility.
Most days involve two to four customer movements mixing live loading at plants and live unloading at receiving docks. Drivers complete gate check-in, confirm appointments, verify paperwork and seals, then execute the move while staying in close contact with dispatch on any production-driven changes.
Afternoons focus on final deliveries, empty trailer returns, or repositioning for the next day. The week ends with equipment returned to the operating area and next-day information already planned, though manufacturing priorities can shift schedules during peak production periods.
