💼 Career Opportunities

Drivers entering this role typically begin in yard shuttle operations supporting high-frequency e-commerce fulfillment cycles across the Charlotte logistics network. With time, operators gain exposure to broader distribution workflows including regional transfer routes, dedicated store replenishment lanes, and multi-facility coordination systems. Advancement pathways often move from yard-focused shuttle driving into local CDL-A routes that extend beyond single-yard operations, followed by regional positions involving multi-state freight corridors across the Carolinas and adjacent southeastern distribution zones. Experienced drivers may transition into trainer roles, dispatch coordination positions, or yard supervision responsibilities where they manage trailer flow sequencing and dock scheduling systems. The structure of the logistics environment supports internal mobility because operational knowledge of yard flow, safety protocols, and freight timing is highly transferable across fleet functions. As e-commerce volumes continue to expand, experienced drivers with strong safety records and system familiarity are commonly prioritized for higher-complexity assignments within the same network, including specialized time-sensitive freight lanes and automated facility integration roles.
