CDL-A Local Building Materials Driver – Los Angeles, CA

• Operate day cab vocational tractors with 48-foot flatbed and curtain-side trailers delivering palletized building materials to contractors, distributors, and job sites.
• Confirm load securement, monitor stability en-route, verify documentation, and coordinate with receiving personnel at distribution yards and construction sites.
• Work flexible dispatch with resequencing of deliveries based on customer schedules, traffic, and same-day requests.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections while maintaining communication with dispatch via Samsara systems.
• Return to the Los Angeles terminal each shift after serving regional construction supply network customers.

• Valid Class A CDL with current DOT Medical Certificate
• 6 months or more CDL-A experience preferred; flatbed or construction materials experience preferred but not required
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record and employment history
• Ability to perform load securement inspections, climb onto trailers, and work around forklifts and construction equipment
• Professional communication skills with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customer representatives

• Morning congestion on I-5, I-10, I-710, SR-60, SR-91, US-101 and seasonal freeway construction
• Dock congestion and forklift availability at warehouses in Vernon, Commerce, Industry, and Ontario (30–90 minutes common during peak)
• Variable conditions at construction sites including uneven surfaces, limited space, and active equipment
• Weather impacts on roofing, concrete, and outdoor deliveries plus customer schedule changes
