Frequently Asked Questions
Is tarping required on every load?
No, depends on freight type. Steel usually open, but weather or customer request can trigger tarping mid-cycle.
How consistent are weekly miles?
Not perfectly stable. Some weeks heavy KC outbound flow, others slower if fabrication yards get backed up.
Do drivers wait at yards?
Yeah sometimes. Crane scheduling or steel staging can delay pickup, depends on the day.
What kind of freight delays happen?
Mainly yard congestion or jobsite unloading queues. Weather in Missouri/Kansas corridor also affects timing.
Is securement training provided?
Yes, paid orientation covers chains, binders, coil protection, and DOT flatbed compliance basics.
Home time reliable?
Mostly weekends, but steel rush weeks can shift returns a bit later than planned.
