- Performs pre-trip, fuel planning and route review before departure.
- Completes 8–10 hours of interstate driving plus inspections and paperwork.
- Handles drop-and-hook swaps or live appointments at customer facilities.
- Coordinates reload or return freight after delivery based on available markets.
- Plans overnight parking before the final hour of available drive time.
- Reports equipment issues and detention situations to dispatch as they occur.
