Dispatch provides the first assignment the evening before or early morning based on aircraft arrivals and warehouse schedules. Drivers begin with terminal check-in, vehicle inspection, and confirmation of load references before heading to JFK cargo facilities.
Most days involve 2–5 movements mixing live pickups at airport terminals with deliveries to forwarders or warehouses. Drivers spend time coordinating paperwork, waiting for freight readiness after customs or sorting, and adapting to same-day changes caused by flight delays or congestion.
Shifts end with return of equipment to the company yard or approved local parking. Drivers complete logs, report any maintenance needs, and prepare for the next day’s assignments which can shift based on evening international arrivals or weekend peak volume.
