📋 Job Description
- Move dry van freight from Jacksonville distribution hubs into Southeast, Midwest, and Southwest corridors under live dispatch scheduling pressure.
- Navigate high-density freight lanes including Atlanta metro congestion, Dallas freight loops, and Chicago terminal bottlenecks.
- Execute drop & hook operations at large DCs while adjusting to dock delays and live unload scheduling changes.
- Maintain compliance with HOS regulations while managing long-haul mileage expectations across I-10, I-75, and I-65 corridors.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections under mixed fleet conditions including varying truck age and maintenance rotation cycles.
- Communicate route updates with dispatch during weather disruptions across Gulf Coast and Midwest winter systems.
