📋 Job Description

  • Move ocean containers between Port Houston terminals, rail yards, and nearby warehouses
  • Handle import/export loads with frequent drop-and-hook container swaps
  • Complete gate check-in/out procedures under strict port security rules
  • Coordinate with dispatch for live container release and pickup timing
  • Inspect chassis, container seals, and documentation before each move
  • Manage multiple short-haul turns throughout the Houston metro area

Requirements

CDL Class A

Valid CDL-A license required

Experience

Intermodal or local driving preferred, training available

Age

Minimum 21 years old

MVR

Clean driving record preferred, no major violations

Physical

Frequent climbing in/out of chassis and container checks

TWIC preferred (port access required)
