💼 Career Opportunities

This CDL-A Yard Spotter role in Elizabeth is more than repetitive trailer movement — it is a direct entry point into high-density port logistics around the Port Newark–Elizabeth Marine Terminal. Drivers who start in yard operations often progress into dedicated terminal shuttle roles, regional container hauling, or even hazmat tanker freight as they gain exposure to freight flow systems and dispatch coordination. Over time, experienced yard drivers can transition into trainer positions responsible for onboarding new hires or step into lead yard coordinator roles overseeing dock efficiency. Because operations run 24/7, there is consistent opportunity for overtime and skill development. Many drivers also move into specialized freight categories such as refrigerated distribution or flatbed regional work across NJ, NY, and PA corridors. The controlled environment helps build precision driving skills, which are highly valued across the CDL-A industry.
