Job Description
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer hauling refrigerated freight
- Monitor and manage reefer unit temperature settings during transport
- Maintain temperature logs and ensure compliance with cargo safety standards
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of both tractor and refrigerated trailer
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards inside trailer units
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route updates and delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries
Requirements
CDL Class A
Valid CDL-A license required
Experience
Experience hauling refrigerated freight preferred
Age Requirement
Minimum age 21 years
MVR & Risk
Clean driving record, ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
Physical Ability
Ability to monitor and troubleshoot reefer equipment; basic mechanical awareness helpful
Communication
Effective communication with dispatch and team
