Job Description
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on congested urban streets
- Perform loading/unloading of freight at warehouses, retail, and restaurant locations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs using handheld devices, ELDs, or paper records
- Navigate tight city streets, parking areas, and delivery docks efficiently
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and warehouse staff regarding deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment
- Follow all federal and local safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
CDL Class A
Valid Class A CDL license required
Experience
Familiarity with urban delivery logistics and multi-stop routes
Age Requirement
Minimum 21 years old
MVR & Risk
Clean driving record and DOT compliance
Physical Ability
Ability to safely load, unload, and secure freight
