Job Description
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on urban and suburban multi-stop routes.
- Perform daily pickups from warehouses, distribution centers, and commercial clients; deliver freight to retail and residential customers.
- Accurately document deliveries using handheld scanners, ELDs, or proof-of-delivery systems.
- Handle freight securely, loading and unloading items as required while adhering to DOT safety regulations.
- Navigate congested urban traffic, tight streets, and parking constraints while maintaining on-time delivery schedules.
- Communicate professionally with clients, dispatch, and warehouse personnel regarding route progress, special instructions, or delivery exceptions.
Requirements
CDL Class A
Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record required
Experience
Prior local driving experience preferred but not mandatory
Age Requirement
Minimum age 21 years
MVR & Risk
Clean motor vehicle record with adherence to DOT safety standards
Physical Ability
Able to safely lift, load, and secure freight as required
