Job Description
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on local intrastate routes with multiple stops.
- Pick up freight from warehouses, distribution centers, and commercial locations; deliver to retail and customer sites.
- Use handheld scanners and ELD devices to track shipments, document proof-of-delivery, and maintain compliance.
- Secure freight on trailers to prevent damage during transport.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery status and scheduling.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; assist with yard operations as needed.
Requirements
CDL Class A
Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
Experience
Comfortable with multi-stop deliveries and yard operations; experience with handheld scanners or ELDs preferred.
Age Requirement
Minimum age 21 to operate interstate freight (local routes preferred 18+).
MVR & Risk
Clean driving record; pass DOT background checks and drug screening.
Physical Ability
Ability to lift, climb, secure cargo, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Communication
Strong customer service skills; professional communication with dispatch and clients.
