Job Description

  • Pick up loaded containers from rail terminals and intermodal yards.
  • Transport containers safely to local warehouses and distribution centers.
  • Return empty containers or reposition container chassis as scheduled.
  • Perform safety inspections of tractor, chassis, and containers.
  • Maintain accurate ELD logs and DOT compliance documentation.
  • Communicate with dispatch and terminal personnel regarding schedules and container availability.

Requirements

CDL Class A

Valid CDL-A commercial driver's license required.

Experience

Intermodal experience preferred but not required for experienced CDL-A drivers.

Age Requirement

Drivers must be at least 21 years old to operate commercial interstate vehicles.
