Job Description
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for local deliveries within Dallas and surrounding areas
- Make multiple stops daily at construction sites, retail locations, and warehouses
- Assist with unloading and positioning building materials such as drywall, steel framing, lumber, and equipment according to job site instructions
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and proof-of-delivery documentation
- Communicate professionally with site supervisors, dispatch, and warehouse staff regarding schedule, materials, or delivery issues
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor and trailer to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations
Requirements
CDL Class A
Valid Class A CDL license required
Experience
Familiarity with local deliveries preferred; experience in construction materials is a plus
Age Requirement
Minimum 21 years old
MVR & Risk
Clean driving record and DOT compliance required
Physical Ability
Ability to assist with unloading and lifting heavy materials
