Job Description
- Operate late-model refrigerated (reefer) Class A tractors safely and efficiently on long-haul routes.
- Maintain required temperature settings to ensure perishable goods arrive in optimal condition.
- Plan and execute efficient multi-state routes, communicating proactively with dispatch for scheduling adjustments.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance.
- Record accurate logs and follow DOT regulations, including hours-of-service requirements.
- Utilize telematics and in-cab systems for navigation, tracking, and performance monitoring.
Requirements
CDL Class A
Valid CDL‑A license with a clean driving record required.
Experience
Experience hauling refrigerated or temperature-controlled freight preferred.
Age Requirement
Minimum age 21 years to drive interstate.
MVR & Risk
Safe driving record; knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service rules.
Physical Ability
Ability to perform pre-trip inspections and secure freight safely.
