Job Description
- Operate refrigerated (reefer) trailers safely and efficiently, monitoring temperature controls throughout the route
- Plan and execute regional routes to ensure timely delivery of perishable goods
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring refrigeration units and trucks are in proper working condition
- Secure and protect freight, maintaining proper handling procedures for temperature-sensitive cargo
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery documentation, and ELD records according to DOT regulations
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route status, equipment issues, or delivery concerns
Requirements
CDL Class A
Valid CDL Class A license required
Experience
Experience operating refrigerated freight preferred
