Job Description
- Transport flatbed loads safely and efficiently across western US routes
- Ensure proper load securement and handling of specialty metals, coils, and machinery
- Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies at all times
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic reporting
- Participate in orientation and training programs for new equipment and routes
- Provide excellent customer service and communication during deliveries
Requirements
CDL Class A
Valid Class A CDL required
Experience
Minimum 4 months driving experience; 1-year preferred but not required
Age Requirement
Must be 21 years or older
MVR & Risk
Safe driving record; no more than 6 jobs in last 3 years
Physical Ability
Lift 90 lb tarp onto 5-foot platform; required for flatbed duties
Communication
Ability to communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
Equipment & Fleet
- Modern flatbed trucks with lane departure, forward-collision warning, hard brake monitoring
- 24/7/365 road service shops; trucks only leave when fully operational
- Delivery equipment includes tarps, chains, binders, straps, and specialty securing gear
Home Time
- 3 weeks out, then 3 days off (varies by division)
- Flexible stops and route adjustments in coordination with dispatch
