Job Description
- Drive tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes including OTR, shuttle, and overnight delivery.
- Deliver food and foodservice products to customers on scheduled routes safely and on time.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring vehicle and trailer meet DOT and company safety standards.
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, addressing questions promptly.
- Unload and transport products into customer storage areas, perform damage control, and collect payments if required.
- Maintain daily logs, complete all required paperwork, and perform general housekeeping of truck and dock area.
Requirements
CDL Class A
Valid CDL A required, meets all state licensing requirements.
Experience
Minimum 12 months commercial driving experience.
Age Requirement
Must be 21 years or older.
MVR & Risk
Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years; pass road test and background check.
Physical Ability
Lift and handle freight from 10-90 lbs using equipment such as two-wheeler or lift gate.
Communication
Professional communication with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
