Job Description
- Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report
- Verify bill of lading and store keys for off-hour deliveries
- Drive tractor-trailer applying commercial driving regulations and maneuvering skills
- Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) documenting delivery receipt, temperatures, exceptions
- Unload trailer and deliver product into customer premises
- Ensure timely, safe, and accurate deliveries across assigned routes
Requirements
CDL Class A
Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A) required
Experience
Minimum 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
Age Requirement
Must meet company and DOT age requirements
MVR & Risk
Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
Physical Ability
Ability to perform pre/post trip inspections and handle deliveries safely
Communication
Ability to read, write, and understand English for job tasks
