Job Description
- Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report
- Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour delivery
- Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations
- Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures, and exceptions
- Unload trailer and deliver product into customer premises
- Follow all company policies and DOT safety regulations
Requirements
CDL Class A
Valid CDL-A license required
Experience
At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
Age Requirement
Must meet age requirements for commercial driving
MVR & Risk
Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
Physical Ability
Ability to perform pre-trip inspections, load/unload deliveries safely
Communication
Read, write, and understand English sufficiently for safety and reporting
