Job Description
- Safely move containers and chassis between designated railyards in the Chicago area
- Operate day cabs from a pool fleet, ensuring proper handling and timely arrivals
- Handle 100% no-touch, drop-and-hook freight, reducing physical strain and improving efficiency
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding scheduling and operational updates
- Perform routine safety inspections and basic maintenance checks on trucks before each shift
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies to ensure compliance and protect cargo
Requirements
CDL Class A
Valid Class A CDL license required
Experience
Minimum of 6 months CDL driving experience
Age Requirement
Must meet state age requirements for CDL-A drivers
MVR & Risk
Clean driving record preferred; adherence to safety and DOT regulations
Physical Ability
Ability to operate day cab trucks and perform basic inspections
